Teaching Lineage
Many spiritual teachings have been passed down by many great spiritual masters since time immemorial. We honor all teachings that contribute to the alleviation of suffering and which focus on unity of spirit. The ashram is grounded in the teachings of our founder, Swamini Shraddhananda Saraswati. Those teachings directly reflect Her lineage of teachers, including Her beloved guru Sri Swami Adhyatmananda Saraswati of the Sivananda tradition, and Her beloved preceptor, Sri Swami Pranavananda Saraswati of the Sri Vidya tradition.
The surname Saraswati belongs to the daśanāma sampradāya, or tradition of ten monastic (swami) orders. It represents 'those who are especially learned and wise.' Swaminiji entered the Saraswati order in 2019 when she embraced her monastic vows with the blessings of God & Guru on the banks of the River Ganga.
